The room was quite clean and fresh but the old worn couch let it down. Either replace it or get rid of it. The doors had paint patches and made it look shabby. The breakfast was ok but plates and milk needed to be refilled.

Our weekend in the ACT region with our 8 year old grandson was okay but the unit had two lights burnt out in the front room and the interior (especially the carpet) could be updated. While not your fault, the second night was miserable with someone above coming in and getting a shower at 2:30 am and then our neighbours to the right waking up at about 4:30 and not caring about the noise they made in getting ready and leaving about 6:00 am..

Can’t recall the gentleman on reception who took my calls during my stay. Unfortunately I came down with covid during my stay and he was very supportive and caring during my calls. Spent time trying to accommodate my extra night request which I didn’t end up taking but was thankful for his help. My second last night there was an incident in the complex which was quite scary for someone who was staying by themselves. I never got to find out the full details of what occurred but saw the police there the next morning. I would have felt more secure having a safety hatch on my door. The last night I had little sleep due to worrying… incident out of your control but considering additional safety measures for your guests is in your control.

We stayed in a family apartment for 2 nights during July winter school holidays. There’s 2 adults and 2 teenagers so the bedding configurations was perfect - 1 Queen bed and 2 single beds on a separate room. I booked directly with the hotel by calling them as I tried to book online but it kept asking me to book 2 rooms which didn’t make sense and the rate was cheaper directly over the phone with them. The main area had lounge (new and firm), queen bed, dining table for 4, kitchen, large TV and split Aircon/heater. The mattress of our bed was worked out as it was sagging badly in the centre. I raised this with reception at check out and she said she hasn’t had any complaints about the mattresses but will pass on my concern to management as she said all the mattresses was also changed when it was renovated a few years ago. We stayed in room 56 so if you don’t like saggy mattress request not to stay in this room. I would have rated our stay 5 rating but our mattress was a let down. The separate room had 2 singles beds (mattress was perfectly firm), tv and own split heater/aircon system. This room was good as my teenagers could have their own privacy. Bathroom was good, shower pressure was great. But they had a small gap on top of the window so it was freezing in the bathroom in winter! I understand they did this to prevent steam and mobile forming in the bathroom but there’s already an exhaust fan which was doing it’s job. Hot water was plenty and never ran out when we all showered and washing the dishes. Kitchen amenities had the minimal requirements and was sufficient for cooking. Towels and beddings was high quality and I was surprised with the thick nice quality of the towels. It was even better some of the more nicer hotel we have stayed in the past. Eateries, woolies/Aldi was just around the corner and walking distance. Bought some fried chicken from Kingsley Chicken - that was yum. Our favourite restaurant is Lolo and Lola Restaurant at Watson (20 mins drive) - booking ahead is a must. While in Canberra the teenagers enjoyed the Segway Glide Ride and great timing Christmas in July (food truck etc) was on near Questacon. We also did a day trip to Perisher - left the hotel at 6.30am and arrived just before 9am at Perisher. I would stay here again but will ask for a room with better queen mattress lol.
